The fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, "On Stranger Tides," was released in 2011. The film was directed by Rob Marshall and starred Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, and Geoffrey Rush.

As they embark on their journey, they are joined by Angelica (Penelope Cruz), Blackbeard's daughter, and Gibbs (Kevin McNally), Jack's trusted friend. They also have to contend with the Spanish, who are also searching for the Fountain of Youth.

Meanwhile, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) is forced to team up with Blackbeard when the latter makes him a deal: in exchange for Jack's help in finding the Fountain of Youth, Blackbeard will pardon Jack for all his past crimes.
